The agreement, in plain language

imado connects a domain you already own to a mailbox, so you can send and receive email from an address on that domain through a web inbox.

It is a mailbox for people. It is not a transactional email API, a marketing platform, a domain registrar, or a general-purpose mail relay.

imado carries real mail every day, and there is no uptime commitment and no service credits. What uptime has been is public: the status page shows every check we run against the site and the API, and every incident. Mail can be delayed, and in a bad case a bug on our side can lose a message.

Keep another copy of any mail you cannot afford to lose.

• When something breaks, we tell you by email rather than waiting for you to ask.
• If we lose or misdeliver your mail, we say so and tell you what we know, including when we do not know why.
• We give notice before changing what the product does to mail you already have. Features may change or be withdrawn, with notice.
• We never reject incoming mail because an account is over a limit, and we never delete old mail to make room for new mail.

• You need a real email address you control, and you must keep the details accurate.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself.
• You are also responsible for what an app you connect does as you: the drafts it writes and the changes it makes to your setup.
• You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.
• Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has got into your account.

You may only connect a domain you own or are authorised to administer. Connecting someone else's domain is a serious breach of these terms, and we will remove it.

Making imado work means publishing DNS records we give you. Those records are yours to manage — if they are removed or changed, mail stops, and we cannot fix that from our side.

The fair use policy forms part of these terms. In short: ordinary human mail, within the published limits, to people who expect to hear from you. No sending of campaigns, cold outreach or application mail, and nothing deceptive or illegal.

We claim no ownership of anything you send, receive, or store. You give us only the permission the product cannot run without — to store, transmit, back up, and display your mail to you, to process it so the inbox works, and to give it to an app when you connect one.

That permission exists to operate imado for you and ends when you delete the content or your account.

We may pause sending, or suspend an account, when the fair use policy is being broken, when an account is being used to harm someone, or when we are required to. Except in urgent cases we will tell you first, and you can always reply and ask us to reconsider.

You can close your account at any time by writing to us. If we close your account without your asking, and it is not for abuse, we will give you at least 30 days to get your mail out.

3 domains and 1 GB of stored mail are free. Beyond that, a pack costs $10 a year for 5 more domains, or $10 a year for 5 GB more storage. Prices are in US dollars before tax; sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies. The pricing page has every number and a calculator. Packs are never added to an account silently, and nothing can be charged until you enter a payment method.

• Packs are sold through Link, Stripe's service for selling on a business's behalf. Link takes your payment, works out and pays the tax, and sends your receipts. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* IMADO. Link's own terms cover the payment itself.
• Packs are paid a year ahead and renew automatically on your renewal date until you cancel. You get an email before each renewal.
• You can cancel at any time from Plan, in Setup, or on link.com. Your packs last until the renewal date, and nothing more is charged.
• Within 14 days of any charge — your first purchase or a renewal — ask for a full refund, tax included, and you get it, with no reason needed. Write to us or to Link support. The packs that charge paid for end when it is refunded. If you live in the EU or the UK, this is also how you withdraw from the purchase.
• To drop one pack rather than all of them, write to us. It ends on your renewal date, and the next charge is lower.
• If a renewal payment fails, we try again for up to two weeks. If it still fails, your packs end, and the pricing page says what then happens to domains beyond the free allowance.
• If a price changes, packs you already have keep their price until we have emailed you, at least 30 days before the renewal the new price applies to.

imado is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of error, or that mail will always be delivered.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Zivaro Software Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or lost or misdelivered mail.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to imado is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for imado in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as they are permitted.

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party brings a claim against us because of your use of imado in breach of these terms — including mail sent from your account and domains connected to it.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use imado after that means accepting the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
