A real inbox forevery-idea.com
imado gives a domain you already own a working email address. Create hello@example.com, then send and receive from a web inbox. You add a few DNS records we give you; there is no mail server to run and no Google Workspace subscription for every side project. See pricing.
- Works with any DNS host
- Nothing to install or run
- 3 domains free

How it works
Three steps to a working inbox.
- 01
Add your domain
Enter a domain you already own. We show you the DNS records to add where you manage the domain's DNS, usually your registrar, and say what each one is for. Add them, press Check, and we tell you which are in place. DNS changes usually show up within minutes, sometimes up to a day.

Send and receive

Is the new export in this release?
hello@example.com
SentYes, it shipped this morning.
The inbox
One inbox for every address, kept in order.
Mail to every address you create arrives in one web inbox that works in any browser, on a laptop or a phone.
- FoldersE!
- Inbox, Sent, Done and Spam. Move a conversation to Done when you have dealt with it; mail that fails the spam or virus check goes to Spam. Every move can be undone.
- Search/
- Matches appear as you type, and Search older looks through everything the inbox has received.
- Sharing
- Invite someone by email and choose which inboxes they can read. They see nothing else on your account, and there is no charge per person.
- Keyboard?
- Reply, move, search and switch inboxes without the mouse. Press ? to see every key.
Also in every account
Sent from your address
What you send comes from hello@example.com and lands in the same conversation on the other side.
Attachments as they were sent
Files download exactly as they arrived, up to 25 MB per message.
Safe to open
Opening a message runs nothing. Formatting and images are shown; anything that could run code is removed.
Works on your phone
The same inbox, sized for a small screen. Swipe a row to move it to Done.
Set up by your agent
An API key lets a coding agent add domains and addresses for you. It can never read your mail. How it works

What it is for
For mail between people.
imado is for the mail you write and the mail people send you. It is not for sending newsletters, campaigns, or automated mail from software; those need a service built for sending in bulk. Receiving is never limited by who sent it: newsletters, receipts and notifications arriving at your address are fine. Keeping bulk sending off imado, and limiting how much any one account can send, is how we keep imado addresses in good standing with Gmail, Outlook and the rest.
Good for
- hello@ on a landing page
- support@ for a product you run
- you@example.com
- A contact address for a client's project
Not for sending
- Newsletters and campaigns
- Cold outreach to lists
- Password resets or receipts sent by an app you run
Questions
Before you connect a domain.
- Do I need to buy a domain from you?
- No. Use a domain you already own, from any registrar. imado does not sell domains.
- Can I keep my registrar and DNS host?
- Yes. You add a few records where you manage the domain's DNS, which is usually your registrar. Nothing else changes, and any DNS host that lets you add TXT, CNAME and MX records works.
- What happens to mail my domain already receives somewhere else?
- Mail for a domain is delivered to one provider at a time. Once you add the receiving record, new mail arrives at imado instead of the old place; messages already in the old inbox stay there. To switch back, change that one record back.
- Will my mail land in spam?
- The records you add prove to Gmail, Outlook and the rest that mail from your domain really came from your domain; the check is called DKIM. Every account also has sending limits, for example 25 messages a day from one address on Free, so nobody on imado can send in bulk and hurt delivery for everyone else. The full list is on the fair use page.
- Can I read it in Gmail or Apple Mail?
- Not yet. Today you read and reply in the browser, on a laptop or a phone. Connecting a mail app, which needs IMAP, is on the roadmap without a date.
- Can someone else read a mailbox with me?
- Yes. Invite them and they see only what you share, nothing else on your account. There is no charge per person.
